Project: Generating synthetic data with generative modeling

Description

In this project, we aim to generate a synthetic dataset that has similar properties as an existing, longitudinal, medical dataset. In particular, we work together with the Dutch south west Psoriatic Arthritis Registry (DEPAR) study (https://ciceroreumatologie.nl/depar), situated at Erasmus MC. Generating a synthetic version of the DEPAR dataset is challenging for multiple reasons, among which the longitudinal nature (patients are repeatedly measured over a course of 10 years) and the mixed-mode type of data (i.e. coming from hospital files, physical examination, questionnaires, blood tests, etcetera).
